true definition of a bride
Being a Utah wedding photographer, I’ve seen all kinds of brides. Hannah is probably one of the most easy-going brides I’ve yet to have the pleasure of photographing. To say Hannah doesn’t care about the wedding details would be a lie. But she cares more about getting married over what the centerpieces should look like.
Often times, I think couples put too much emphasis and worry about having the perfect wedding. They’ll sometimes forget it should be about their love for one another. And don’t get me wrong—wanting your engagements, bridals, and wedding day to look picture-perfect is important, but it shouldn’t be everything. When you look back at your wedding day years from later, will you remember the moments or the color of the tablecloths?
I believe the phrase I heard most from this lovely bride during the bridal session was, “I don’t care, whatever you think looks best.” Hannah placed her trust in me and I’m so grateful. With such a caring and lovely personality, it was impossible to not make Hannah look beautiful in her bridal photos.
I never have taken a picture I’ve intended. They’re always better or worse.- Diane Arbus
