winter bridals in the high canyons
May not look like it, but these bridals were taken in the middle of winter in Utah. As a Utah wedding photographer, I love taking advantage of the beautiful scenery of our state. We traveled up to Big Cottonwood, actually hoping for snow and a winter wonderland, but all we got was mud.
After some location scouting in full-on wedding attire, we decided to just wing it and use angles and cropping to get rid of the yuckiness. On the way down from the canyon, Anika got creative and suggested we climb higher up the side of the mountains—yes, Anika in her wedding dress suggested mountain climbing. And I’m so glad she did.
